Castello Tafuri Charming Suites

Great location and amazing view! We took the sea view room and watched sunrise from the room. The castle itself was beautiful. We spent all day by the pool and went down the cliff for snorkeling. Breakfast had a lot of options and we had attentive service from the waitress. Hotel and the room looked a bit empty from the inside. It’d be nice to put more decorations and art work. Swimming pool looked very green, so we didn’t go in to swim. We had a great time staying here.

YES! STAY HERE! Fabulous and heavenly experience. This is absolutely the most beautiful hotel in the area. The castle was built in the 1930s by the owner of the nearby tonnara, and has since changed ownership to the Tafuri family, who have restored it wonderfully. The pool overlooks the sea and the tonnara, and they have a little path that goes from the hotel to the sea and also continues into the town (c.10 min walk along the coast). The sea was very clean and full of fish, and there is a very nice platform that you can swim to - the best sea in the area. The terrace was very romantic for an aperitivo but you have to reserve the food plate the night before. The ladies at the front desk were helpful and nice. Breakfast didn’t have omelettes etc. but had some nice cakes and fresh fruit which was great for us. The decor in the rooms is simple and functional and we found it worthwhile getting the royal suite which has a fabulous terrace. Great for families as a long vacation (as many of the rooms have kitchens and multiple bedrooms) but we also found it very romantic as a couple.
